2022 SIAC Softball All-Conference Awards

From the SIAC The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has announced its 2022 softball all-conference awards, as voted on by the league’s coaches and sports information directors. Tuskegee’s Kendra Gibbons headlines the all-conference team after being selected as the 2022 SIAC Player of the Year alongside teammate Ayriana Stoneback who was named 2022 Starting Pitcher of the Year. Spring Hill’s Paityn Desormeaux earned this year’s Relief Pitcher of the Year honor.  Albany State’s Morgan Brown was selected as the 2022 SIAC Freshman of the Year along with, Tuskegee’s Kaeley Roldan, who was named Utility Player of the Year. LeMoyne softball ends record-breaking season with sweep of Miles

Albany State Softball takes Eastern Division crown

Via Dr. Earnest Brown, Albany State Athletics The Golden Rams softball team won two out of three games against the Benedict College Tigers in their final series of the regular season.  As a result, the Golden Rams finish #1 in the Eastern Division of the SIAC.  The Golden Rams improved to 32-7 (16-3 in the SIAC) while the Tigers are 27-17 (11-7 in the SIAC).   In game 1, the Tigers defeated the Golden Rams 12-4.  The Tigers jumped out to a (3-0) lead after the 1st inning.  But, McLeod homered in…

Central State is crowned inaugural SIAC Men’s Volleyball Champs

Courtesy of the Central State Atheltics The Central State Marauders took home the inaugural SIAC men’s volleyball tournament title with a five-set win over Edward Waters on Thursday. After dropping the opening set, 25-18. CSU battled to a 25-23 win in the second frame and took a 2-1 lead in the match with a 25-19 win in the fourth. SIAC announces Outdoor T&F All-Conference Teams
