The long-anticipated regular season debut of 2019 no.1 overall pick Zion Williamson could be closer to a reality. Footage via The Athletic’s Will Guillory shows the rookie rising up and throwing one down during warmups. Williamson suffered a meniscus and had surgery October. He was given a six-to-eight recovery window. According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, Williamson is expected to be back on the practice court sooner rather than later. Giannis to miss second straight game

According to Orlando.com’s John Denton, the Milwaukee Bucks will be without all-world forward Giannis Antetokounmpo for their game against the Orlando Magic Saturday night. This will be the second straight game that the Greek Freak has missed due to the back issue. Antetokounmpo is firmly in MVP talks as he is averaging 30.5 points, 12.9 rebounds and 5.7 assists this season and has led the Bucks to a 28-5 record.

Rockets’ Capela downgraded to doubtful against Nets

The Houston Rockets will be without center Clint Capela when they take on the Brooklyn Nets Saturday. According to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, Capela has been downgraded from doubtful to out against the Nets. Apparently the downgrade is due to a heel contusion the big man has been dealing with. This season Capela is averaging 13.9 points and 14.4 rebounds per game.

Zach Randolph is calling it a career. Z-Bo told TMZ Sports that playing in the Association is no longer on his mind. Randolph did not appear in one game in 2018-19 and the Dallas Mavericks waived him in February after acquiring the vet in a trade with the Kings. Hayward has missed the three previous games with a foot injury. A subsequent MRI reveled no structural damage.
