Greek national team cuts five players

Ahead of their friendly matchup against Spain on Tuesday, the Hellenic Basketball Federation announced the opening round of cuts from their training camp. Coach Dmitirs Itoudis let go Lefteris Mantzoukas, Omiros Netzipoglou, Girogos Tanoulis, Giogos Tsalmpouris. The Brothers Antetokounmpo was broken up as Alex Antetokounmpo was also one the initial cuts. The Lithuanian basketball federation announced that Jonas Valančiūnas and Domantas Sabonis are now free to practice with the rest of the team. The insurance policy between FIBA and the NBA was the primary obstacle in the two getting on the court sooner.
