Saint Augustine University’s world-renowaned track coach George Williams was involved in a car accident while he was in Qatar for the World Track and Field Championships. Virginia State notched its second win of the season in a 34-7 rout of Johnson C. Smith. The Trojans’ offense did need much time to get to work, taking a 7-0 lead on Jevon LaPierre’s five-yard touchdown run with 12:25 to go in the opening period.
