Chesterfield County Police identified the suspect as Camron Harris, 19, of Henrico, Virginia. Harris is not a Virginia State University student. ETTRICK, Va. — Virginia State University is dealing with a developing crisis after five people were wounded in a shooting near campus residence halls early Saturday morning. According to authorities, officers responded around 1:28 a.m. Saturday, August 15, to the area of the university’s Quad Annexes, where they found five individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. All five victims were transported to area hospitals. One victim, who was initially reported to have life-threatening injuries, was later upgraded to critical condition.
