Andrew Body to enter transfer portal

Alabama State quarterback Andrew Body plans to enter the transfer portal. He announced his intentions Tuesday afternoon via social media, offering thanks and gratitude to the Alabama State fanbase, Coach Eddie Robinson, and other supporters.  In his first year as a Hornet, Body suffered an injury in the Hornets’ season opener against North Carolina Central in the MEAC/SWAC Challenge last season, limiting him to just 1 game.  In 2025 he took part in 8 games, before his season was cut short due to a shoulder injury, completing 113 of 160…

Alabama State pulls away from Tuskegee 58-21 in Turkey Day Classic

Image via DJ Pearson Tuskegee made it a game early on Alabama, but Alabama State would eventually seize control and cruise to a 58-21 win in the Turkey Day Classic.  The Golden Tigers struck first when quarterback Michael Franklin connected on a 67-yard strike with Devon Cooper on the fourth play of the game to put Tuskegee up 7-0 just 105 seconds into the contest.  The Hornets answered back on the next possession with a quick strike score of their own. Tennessee State falls short to Gardner-Webb 30-14

Turnovers and a lackluster offensive performance proved to be Tennessee State’s undoing as TSU fell at home to Gardner-Webb 30-14.  Florida A&M University football legend Jacquay Nunnally, one of the most prolific receivers in NCAA history, has been selected for induction into the Black College Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025, adding another prestigious honor to his illustrious career.
