Tennessee State OL Lacey named to 2023 Senior Bowl watchlist

Tennessee state senior offensive lineman Robert Lacey was named to Reese’s Senior Bowl preseason watch list. The Blount High School (AL) played at left guard for all his appearances last season for the Tigers and helped the run game average 114.7 yards per game and average 75% in the red-zone. The Senior Bowl has been around since 1950 and has produced 55 NFL Hall of Fame players. Tailgating and vendors are pillars of the HBCU football day experience. As we are less than three weeks from the kickoff of the Golden Rams football season against Mississippi College on September 3, Albany State has released the 2022 Football Tailgating agreement. Davis and South Carolina State defensive end Jeblonski Green have been named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Offensive and Defensive Preseason Players of the Year, presented by TowneBank. All awards and the predicted order of finish were voted on by the MEAC’s head football coaches and sports information directors. Davis was the MEAC Rookie of the Year this past season after leading the Spartans and the conference in rushing, 80.5 yards per contest on the ground.
