Savannah State paced this year’s preseason team with nine selections after closing last season with one of the best records in modern Tigers’ history at 34-12. Courtesy of Albany State Athletics In 2022, Albany State Softball had a tremendous season as they finished with a (35-9) overall record as well as the SIAC Eastern Division Champions.   According to the Black Sports Network, the Golden Rams finished with the most wins of any HBCU on any level in the country. The Golden Rams feature several players that received accolades from the 2022 season.  Madison Hurt finished as the number #7 leading hitter in the country with a batting average of .467.  Morgan Brown was named SIAC Freshman of the year. …

From the SIAC The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has announced its 2022 softball all-conference awards, as voted on by the league’s coaches and sports information directors. Tuskegee’s Kendra Gibbons headlines the all-conference team after being selected as the 2022 SIAC Player of the Year alongside teammate Ayriana Stoneback who was named 2022 Starting Pitcher of the Year.
