Courtesy of the SIAC The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has announced its softball weekly honors, released by the league office on Tuesday. Miyah Rogers (Benedict) was named Player of the Week, while Caprice Johnson (Fort Valley State)earned Pitcher of the Week honors. PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Miyah Rogers, Benedict| Outfield  |  R-Junior  |  Thomson, Ga. Rogers helped Benedict beat Columbia International 13-12 in first game of doubleheader by going 4-for-4 with 2 runs scored and 3 RBIs. Raelynn Lee (Lane) was named Player of the Week, while Alexandra Ballester (Spring Hill) earned Pitcher of the Week honors. Albany State Softball sweeps Ohio Christian

Via Dr. Earnest Brown at Albany State Athletics The Golden Rams have won six consecutive games to start the season after defeating the Ohio Christian Trailblazers today at the ASU West Campus. In game 1, the Golden Rams won 8-3.  Sydney Pettus homered in the 1st inning to get the scoring started for the Golden Rams.  Morgan Brown also homered in the 5th inning to drive home 3 runs for the Golden Rams to make it 6-3.  The Golden Rams finished with 10 hits in the game. Kierra Washington got the win for the Golden Rams. In game…

From Albany State Athletics: The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has announced its 2022 Softball Preseason Teams as voted on by the league’s head coaches and sports information directors. The 2022 preseason team is highlighted by four returning players from Spring Hill (Morgan Kramer), Kentucky State (Moana Pinner), Albany State (Glory Seay), and Clark Atlanta (Tatianna Kelly) that were selected from the 2019 Softball All-Conference Teams. Jason Bryant announced as ASU head softball coach

From Albany State University: Tony Duckworth, Director of Athletics, has announced Jason Bryant as the next head coach of the Albany State University softball program.  Jason Bryant comes to Albany State University after head coaching stints at Fort Valley State University and Brewton Parker College.  As a head coach, Jason has won over 400 softball games.  Jason has also been named the coach of the year 4 times.  “We are excited Coach Bryant will be leading Golden Rams Softball.  His college coaching success in Georgia, and experience in the SIAC…
