SIAC names baseball All-Conference Honourees

From the SIAC:  The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has announced its 2022 baseball all-conference awards, as voted on by the league’s coaches and sports information directors. Savannah State’s Joe Smith headlines the all-conference team after being selected as the 2022 SIAC Player of the Year alongside Miles’ Kody Long who was named 2022 Starting Pitcher of the Year. Spring Hill’s Michael Romano earned this year’s Relief Pitcher of the Year honor.  Miles’ Michael Archie was selected as the 2022 SIAC Freshman of the Year alongside, Benedict’s Bradon O’Connor, who was named Utility Player of the Year. The Albany State baseball team split a Friday doubleheader to take two out of three games in their season-ending series against the Tigers of Edward Waters. Albany State baseball prepares for last road trip of season

The Albany State baseball team is heading to Jacksonville, Florida for a weekend three-game series against the Tigers of Edward waters College. The Golden Rams (25-11, 24-5 SIAC) are coming into a game fresh off being knocked around 19-9 by Georgia Southwestern at home on Tuesday, while Edward Waters ( 23-22 , 9-12 SIAC) enters the series fresh off a three-game sweep of Benedict last week . The series commences Thursday, April 28, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:00 p.m. EST.

Albany State drops home game to GA Southwestern, 19-9

The Albany State baseball team could not end their home season on a high note, as they were defeated by the Hurricanes of Georgia Southwestern, 19-9. Albany State found themselves in a hole right away, as the Hurricanes got right to work in the first inning.
