From Tennessee State Athletics: The Tennessee State University women’s basketball team fell in a heartbreaker, 72-69, to Austin Peay on Saturday afternoon at the Gentry Center.  Dominique Claytor led the Lady Tigers with 18 points in 35 minutes. Three other Lady Tigers finished in double figures — Gia Adams (13), Sierra McCullough and Tatyana Davis each had 10 points.  TSU forced 31 turnovers, its second most of the season. Tuesday morning Tennessee State University lady basketballer Saniah Parker was announced as Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the week. In helping the Lady Tigers go 2-0 last week, Parker scored 14 against UT Martin and followed that up with a season, and career-high 18 points against Southeast Missouri. Parker was scorching from the floor in those games, hitting 12-16 from the floor including knocking down 75% of her three point attempts and 83% of her free throws.
