Coach Verniece Graham and the Golden Rams volleyball team entered the 2022 regular season with extremely high hopes. The Golden Rams roster features a nice blend of talented freshmen as well as seasoned veterans returning to the team. Coach Graham is excited about her team’s chances at the upcoming 2022 SIAC Volleyball Tournament. Graham’s Golden Rams finished the season on a winning streak after defeating Paine College and Allen University last weekend.
The Golden Rams finished the regular season with an overall record of (18-7). The Golden Rams were (16-3) in the SIAC. Despite winning 16 conference games, the Golden Rams finished as the #2 seed in the Eastern Division of the SIAC.
Now, the Golden Rams focus will shift to winning the 2022 SIAC Volleyball Tournament that will be held on November 10-12 at Spring Hill College. The #2 Albany State Golden Rams will play #3 Kentucky State Thorobreds in the single elimination tournament at 4:00 pm on Thursday, November 10.
The Golden Rams defeated the Thorobreds (3-0) at the SIAC Crossover on Friday, September 23, in Cartersville, Georgia.
