Bethune-Cookman has reached an agreement in principle to make NFL Hall of Fame player Ed Reed the University’s 16th head football coach. The University made the announcement Tuesday evening. Reed’s name had been mentioned surrounding other head coaching positions dating back to last season when he declined the head coaching job at Grambling State. Southern TE Ethan Howard enters the transfer portal
Southern University sophomore tight end Ethan Howard announced he was entering the transfer portal. The Cecilia High School ( Breaux Bridge, LA) product informed the world of his decision Monday in post to his Twitter account. Last season Howard was Southern’s second-leading leading receiver, hailing in 29 passes for 351 yards and four touchdowns. This past season, for unknown reasons, he only appeared in one contest, the October 22 matchup against Virginia Lynchburg.
