Courtesy of Tennessee State Athletics  Big South-OVC weekly honors this week after the Tigers’ 54-0 win against Lincoln as the league announced the honors on Monday morning. Terrell Allen was named the Defensive Player of the Week, while Jordan Gant was named Freshman of the Week. Allen earned his second straight DPOTW award after finishing with seven tackles, 4.0 sacks, 4.0 TFLs, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. Tennessee State defensive lineman Terrell Allen was named Big South-OVC Defensive Player of the Week for his gridiron exploits this past weekend. In the Tigers’ Homecoming win against the Spartans of Norfolk State, Allen recorded seven tackles ( 6 solo), 4 tackles for loss, as well as a pass breakup.
