Albany State Baseball recipient of Phil Niekro Scholarship Award

Courtesy of Albany State Athletics This past Saturday night Coach Hemmings was presented a check from the Atlanta 400 Baseball Fan Club (formerly Braves 400 Fan Club) in the amount of $1500.00.  The donation was a part of the Phil Niekro scholarship and is given annually to two college baseball programs.  This year’s award went to Albany State University and Oglethorpe University.  The checks were presented at the 400 Baseball Club’s annual Gameboree.  The evening begins with a silent auction followed by a dinner, where the 400-fan club gives away…

Albany State’s Landon Kiefer named D-II Nat’l Freshman Pitcher of the Year
