SIAC announces weekly basketball honourees

(January 25, 2022) – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has announced its men’s and women’s basketball Players of the Week. For women, Ay’Anna Bey (Benedict) was named Player of the Week, while Imani Williams (Miles) earned Newcomer of the Week. For men, Jaquan Lawrence (LeMoyne-Owen) was named Player of the Week, while Mykayle Carter (Miles) earned Newcomer of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday. Women’s Basketball PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Ay’Anna Bey, Benedict , Forward  |  Senior  |  Blackwood, N.J. When Florida A&M takes on Jackson State, the Rattlers coaching staff will be wearing these special-edition Air Force 1 Lows as part of the Coaches vs Cancer commemoration. Albany State splits double header with Fort Valley

TSU Women’s Hoops drops close one to Austin Peay

From Tennessee State Athletics: The Tennessee State University women’s basketball team fell in a heartbreaker, 72-69, to Austin Peay on Saturday afternoon at the Gentry Center.  Dominique Claytor led the Lady Tigers with 18 points in 35 minutes. Three other Lady Tigers finished in double figures — Gia Adams (13), Sierra McCullough and Tatyana Davis each had 10 points.  TSU forced 31 turnovers, its second most of the season. “FAMU” Nike LeBron 18 Low PE

Florida A&M Athletics unveiled this Lebron XVIII low, which is the latest edition in its fleet of Player Exclusive footwear. It sports a double-lasted orange synthetic upper overlaid with green and black up front and solely green wrapping the heel. Rattler logo adorn the left tongue, while a Lebron signature occupies the same space on the opposite tongue. White swooshes are found on the sides, with an embossed version is found on the heel. Another ”FAMU” Nike Lebron XIX sighted

Back in December we reported on FAMU Athletics unveiling their Lebron XIX PEs for their basketball program but it appears that was not the only XIX the Rattlers had in their seemingly ever-growing footwear bag. An image emerged of a second colorway of the Lebron XIX in FAMU colours. Where as the first color was primarily white-based, the second one featured a green upper with orange serving as the secondary complimentary hue.
