Albany State Athletic Department has NCAA probation lifted

Tuesday morning Albany State University announced that the NCAA had removed the school’s athletic probation from probation status. As reported by WALB, back in 2016 Albany State began an internal audit of its athletic program. Following that the University self-reported potential issues to the geniuses at the NCAA. This weekend the Albany State baseball team (1-3) will play their home opener this Saturday with a series with the Magicians of LeMoyne-Owen (1-1). The games will commence with a Friday evening game against LeMoyne, with first pitch scheduled for 6:00 pm.
