Nike aids Chinese Goverment in the Confiscation of $87 million in Counterfeit Kicks

Police in Anhui (China) recently busted that country’s largest case of sneakers. The seized shoes, which numbered over 500,000 pair, were intended to be shipped to Asia and the Middle East. Although made of substandard materials, the sneakers were still valued at over $87 million. In December 2015 Anhui police received reports from Nike Sports China which indicated they had located a significant number of counterfeit shoes that looked like one of their branded products in Middle Eastern countries. Stupid Things People Do For Sneakers: Portland man stole over 800 pairs of Nikes from Outlet

A 52-year-old Portland, Oregon man is accused of stealing over $5,000 of sneakers from the Northeast Portland Nike Outlet. Kevin Millage was arrested as a suspects in thefts from the store after detectives reviewed footage from the store’s video surveillance system. According to court documents, Millage admitted to detectives that he is a drug addict and that he pilfered the shoes in order to sell them to obtain drugs. The jewel Swoosh seen most recently on the AIr Max 1 and the Air Force 1 is now making its way to the classic, the Nike Cortez. The jeweled branding takes it place on the medial and lateral sides of the iconic sneaker, which also features a leather upper. Branding on the tongue and on the heel matches the hue of the swoosh. HOF DT Cortez Kennedy Dead at the age of 48

Cortez Kennedy, Pro Football Hall of Fame member, has passed at the age of 48. The Orlando Police Department confirmed his death but indicated ,”there is nothing suspicious” about his death, although the cause of death is still unclear at this point. Kennedy played 11 seasons for the Seattle Seahawks and compiled 58 career sacks and 11 forced fumbles. He was named to the Pro Bowl eight times and the All-Pro first team three times. In 1992 he was named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year.
