From theciaa : Charlotte, NC (October 3, 2019) – The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA®) will contribute to the national celebration of 150 years of NCAA college football with a new series entitled “Live The Legacy Classic Championship Games.”   The nation’s first African American athletic conference will air classic championship football games, releasing a different game each Thursday over the next five weeks, on the CIAA Sports Network. Virginia State notched its second win of the season in a 34-7 rout of Johnson C. Smith. The Trojans’ offense did need much time to get to work, taking a 7-0 lead on Jevon LaPierre’s five-yard touchdown run with 12:25 to go in the opening period. A little less than four minutes later, Virginia State would increase their advantage to 14-0 when Demetrius Strickland scored on a fifteen-yard run with 8:33 left in the opening period.
