According to Bridgeport, Connecticut police, a duo of burglars stole 10 pair of Air Jordan sneakers valued at $3,000. The thieves also caused more than $6,000 in damage when they broke in the front door with a crowbar.  Cameras caught the two men entering the three-story apartment complex carrying empty bags. Tragedy struck the family of Illinois Rep Danny Davis, who represents the 7th Congressional District of Illinois.  Two teenagers broke into the home of Davis’s grandson, 15 year-old Jovan Wilson. Stealing is bad, stealing sneakers is stupid and stealing from your family is deplorable. Javontae Garrett of Simsbury,Connecticut has the unfortunate distinction of achieving this atrocious ternion. Pelicans’ Guard Bryce Dejean-Jones succumbs to gunshot wound

Dallas police announce New Orleans Pelicans guard was fatally shot after kicking in a door to an apartment. In a statement, Sr Cpl DeMarquis Black said officers were called early Saturday morning and found Jones collapsed in an outdoor passageway’ the 23-year old ball player was taken to a hospital, where he died. Cpl. Black also stated a person living at the apartment was asleep when he heard his door kicked open. In the Bensonhurst neighborhood of New York City, another meetup for a sneaker sale went horribly wrong. The victim told police he thought the arranged meeting was to sell two pair of sneakers but when he arrived at the meeting place on 86th street, one of the miscrients came up behind him with gun in hand. Former Michigan State star basketball player Mateen Cleaves has been charged of sexual assault of a 24 year Mount Morris, Michigan woman. Cleaves has been been charged with unlawful imprisonment, assault with intent tocommit criminal sexual penetration, second-degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct. The charges stem from a September 2015 incident following a charity golf tournament and could carry a 15 year prison term.
