The Albany State Baseball team went 32-16 ( 28-7, SIAC), but came up short in the conference championship game, falling 8-7 to Spring Hill. Coppin State, who claimed victory in the MEAC Baseball Tournament , after besting Delaware State 18-12, has found out their opponent in their first round opponent in the NCAA Baseball Championship. The Eagles, (24-28) will make their NCAA Tournament debut against the Pirates of East Carolina University (42-18) in the Greenville Regional. From the SIAC:  The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has announced its 2022 baseball all-conference awards, as voted on by the league’s coaches and sports information directors. Savannah State’s Joe Smith headlines the all-conference team after being selected as the 2022 SIAC Player of the Year alongside Miles’ Kody Long who was named 2022 Starting Pitcher of the Year.
