Wizards send F Deni Avdija to Blazers in front of draft

The NBA Draft is set to begin later this evening, but the Washington Wizards didn’t wait until the festivities began to make a move. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, and others, the Wizards have traded forward Deni Avdija to Th Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for Malcolm Brogdon, the 14th overall pick in tonight’s Draft and a 2029 pick. Norfolk State’s Premier Wynn qualifies for World Athletics U20 Championships

FAMU Board of Trustees tables ratification of men’s basketball coach Patrick Crarey’s contract

Hakim McClellan out at Mississippi Valley State

According to the Mississippi Valley State athletic director Hakim McClellan is stepping down from his current role to become the Deputy Athletic Director at Jackson State, saying it “was time.” The move to JSU is a return to familiar grounds for McClellan, where he previously worked as the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance.  McClellan assumed the role of Athletic Director on June 6, 2022.  In his time as Athletic Director, the field at Rice-Tottem was replaced with FieldTurf and the venue also received a new Jumbotron.
