Horace M. Johnson II of Akron, Ohio was charged with aggravated burglary and improperly discharging a firearm at a habitation after an incident this past Friday. HOF DT Cortez Kennedy Dead at the age of 48

Cortez Kennedy, Pro Football Hall of Fame member, has passed at the age of 48.  The Orlando Police Department confirmed his death but indicated ,”there is nothing suspicious” about his death, although the cause of death is still unclear at this point.  Kennedy played 11 seasons for the Seattle Seahawks and compiled 58 career sacks and 11 forced fumbles. He was named to the Pro Bowl eight times and the All-Pro first team three times. In 1992 he was named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year.

Stupid Things People Do For Sneakers: Two GA juveniles indicted for Armed Robbery of classmate’s Air Jordans

Two youngsters are now facing the music for very adult crimes.  Joseph Weatherford, 16 and Dominic Singh, 17 were indicted recently by a Forsyth County (GA) Grand Jury on one count of armed robbery and several counts of drug possession. According to a bill of indictment on January 29 the two, “unlawfully [took] the shoes from the [victim] by use of a Vigilante Air Pistol, a device having the appearance of an offensive weapon.” The incident reports stated the victim knew Weatherford and Singh from school and they “showed up…

According to police, a Hartford, Connecticut man now faces multiple charges after he attempted to steal $265 worth of Nike basketball shoes from Kohl’s. Around 2 p.m. Monday February 20, police responded to the retailer for a report of a shoplifter. A man, Jorge Bermudez-Martinez, 25, was observed concealing sneakers under his sweatshirt. According to a police report, he was taken into custody by police as he left the store. Thousands of Pair of Counterfeit Sneakers discovered by South African Customs

The South African Revenue Service (SARS) seized counterfeit sneakers at the Lebombo Border Post.  Suspicions were aroused when a truck driver refused to stop at the port checkpoint on Monday. Police then chased the truck; the driver fled the scene outside the port area. Former Baylor Star Isaiah Austin Cleared to Play Basketball

After his two seasons at Baylor, it seemed to be a forgone conclusion that Isaiah Austin would grace NBA courts. The 7’1″ center averaged 12.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks per game during his time in Waco (despite being blind in his right eye since the age of 16 after suffering retinal detachment).
