The Tuskegee women’s hoops team put on display why they were undefeated , 20-0 , in SIAC play this season as they put a 73-50 beating on Central State in the SIAC quarterfinals. A rough shooting night , the Golden Rams shot just 27.6% from the floor, and bad late game decision-making put the nail in the coffin of the Albany State women’s hoops team as they fell to Lance College, 53-50 in the opening round of the SIAC Women’s Basketball Tournament. The Albany State baseball team will begin a three game series against the Dragons on Lance College this weekend. Savannah State shot better than Albany State from field, (48.0 % to 35.6%), from three, (57.1% to 15.4%) in defeating the Golden Rams 58-54 Saturday afternoon. Albany State got off to a horrendous start; the Golden Rams’ first six possessions ended with 4 turnovers and 2 missed shots. Albany State Baseball to open SIAC play against Tuskegee

The Albany State baseball team (1-2) will open conference play against the Golden Tigers of Tuskegee University (1-5) in a three-game set on February 18-19 at the ASU West Campus. Saturday will feature a doubleheader, with the first pitch scheduled for 1:00 PM EST, The two schools last met March 27, 2022 with Albany State claiming a 20-12 victory.
