Albany State releases 2023 football schedule

Albany State splits home doubleheader with Savannah State

Courtesy of Dr. Earnest Brown, Albany State Athletics The Albany State women and men’s basketball teams split with the Savannah State Tigers on Senior Day at the ASU East Campus Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.  Both games came down to the final seconds. In the women’s game, the Tigers defeated the Golden Rams (58-54).  With the loss, the Golden Rams fall to (7-17) overall and (5-13) in the SIAC.  The Tigers improved to (17-6) overall and (13-5) in the SIAC.   Milana Holmes led the Golden Rams with 15 points and 6 rebounds.  Unique Millercontributed…

Savannah State defeats Albany State, 58-54

Savannah State shot better than Albany State from field, (48.0 % to 35.6%), from three, (57.1% to 15.4%) in defeating the Golden Rams 58-54 Saturday afternoon. Albany State got off to a horrendous start; the Golden Rams’ first six possessions ended with 4 turnovers and 2 missed shots. They did not score their first points until Kayla Milner knocked down a three-pointer at the 6:56 mark of the period. Albany State Baseball to open SIAC play against Tuskegee

The Albany State baseball team (1-2) will open conference play against the Golden Tigers of Tuskegee University (1-5) in a three-game set on February 18-19 at the ASU West Campus. Saturday will feature a doubleheader, with the first pitch scheduled for 1:00 PM EST, The two schools last met March 27, 2022 with Albany State claiming a 20-12 victory. The Albany State University baseball team is set to take on Valdosta State on Wednesday, February 15 at the VSU Spoprts Complex; first pitch is scheduled for 5:00 pm EST.
