Jackson State’s Jacobian Morgan named HBCU National Player of the Week

Image via Jackson State Athletics For his gridiron exploits this weekend, Jackson State quarterback Jacobian Morgan was named the BOXTOROW National HBCU Player of the Week.  In the Tigers’ 38-13 win over Southern in the BoomBox Classic, the grad student had his most statistically prolific game of the year. Morgan completed 21 of 31 passes for 337 yards, 2 touchdowns, of 51 and 82 yards respectively, and no interceptions.  This season the Syracuse transfer has completed 50-of-88 passes for 615 yards, 2 touchdowns, and an interception.  Morgan will be highlighted on…

Week 5 of the Dr. Cavil’s Inside the HBCU Sports Lab Top 7 Rankings saw a new team enter the mix, one team change position, while the remainder were carryovers from the previous week.  7.
