Tuskegee Football held first scrimmage of the season

From goldentigersports : Two weeks before facing Alabama State in its season opening game in Montgomery, The Tuskegee University football team held its first scrimmage Saturday morning, working just over two hours at Cleve L. Abbott Memorial Alumni Stadium. The Golden Tigers were able to get a good evaluation of where they are after the first full week of camp. TU will be off on Sunday before returning to the practice field Monday afternoon. Tuskegee defeats Fort Valley 17-6

The Tuskegee Golden Tigers earned a hard fought victory at Wildcat Stadium 17-6. It was the home team Fort Valley that got the scoring going late in the opening quarter when Abisai Gutierrez knocked through a 33-yard field goal to put the Wildcats up 3-0. Tuskegee football player Jabari Bailey has career tragically ended

Jabari Bailey was set to head to Tuskegee this summer for camp and begin to actualize his dream of playing college football. Sadly that dream was ended when Bailey was helping a friend who car had malfunctioned, leaving him stranded on the side of the road. A car struck Bailey, pinning him between the two vehicles and severing his leg. The entire university is heartbroken for Jabari, his family and for all of us who know him. There are no words to describe how it felt to hear this terrible news.…

Albany State claims victory in 4th White Water Classic

For the Golden Rams of Albany State University, the defense lead the way to their first victory over Tuskegee University in seven years. The Rams' defense held the Golden Tigers' offense to two first downs (you read that correctly, 2 first downs) on the day. The Tuskegee offense only managed 27 plays, had possession of the football for just 16:04 and only tallied a paltry 119 yards of total offense.
