The “Cool Grey” is a new, and better executed than I expected, colorway of the Air Jordan 6 that is part of Jordan Brand’s 2023 release roster. This upcoming Jordan 6 sports a grey nubuck foundational layer overlaid with tumbled white leather. Greys show up on the tongue, inner, lace locks, spoiler and Jumpman branding on the rear heel. Tennessee State guard Erica Haynes-Overton was named Ohio Valley Conference Newcomer of the Week. Although the Tigers came up empty in their games last week, losing a 67-65 nail biter at home to Stetson and a decisive 100-72 beatdown at Southern Illinois, Haynes-Overton averaged 17.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals in the two matchups. A graduate student tight end from Atlanta, Ga., Averett caught 39 passes for 445 and seven touchdowns, the third highest total in the SWAC this season.
