Norfolk State makes plays late to get by Morgan State 24-21

It took every bit of 60 minutes but Norfolk State finally got their first win of the season , a 24-21 win over Morgan State that quite literally came down to the last play of the game. After receiving the opening kickoff, Norfolk State only needed three plays to travel 63 yards, hitting paydirt on Kevon King’s 34-yard scamper to hand the Spartans a 7-0 lead. The Albany State Golden Rams head to Jacksonville, FL to take on the Tigers of Edward Waters. Albany State (4-1, 2-0) enters the contest off a 20-3 home win over Miles College. Coming off a stunning loss to Lane College in the John Merritt Classic, Tennessee State hobbles into its homecoming matchup with Bethune-Cookman. TSU starting quarterback Draylen Ellis missed the Merritt Classic with an ankle injury that happened in the second quarter of their 49-6 loss at Middle Tennessee State on Sept. 17.
