Albany State Tennis finishes 3rd in SIAC

Despite not winning the conference title this weekend, the team was able to defeat the Panthers of Clark-Atlanta University in the consolation at the SIAC Tournament, 5-2. Asia Raulerson, Bianca Leao, Carla Sorroche and Sumana Panauganti were all victorious in their singles matches. In doubles competition, Leao and Panauganti claimed their match 6-2 ; Doylisha Copeland and Allyah Williams were also victors, winning match by a 6-2 count as well. With the win the Golden Rams complete the 2022 season with an 18-6 record.

Albany State splits first two with Fort Valley

The Golden Rams softball team split with the Fort Valley State University Wildcats on Saturday, April 9.  The Golden Rams are now 29-4 (13-2 in the SIAC) while the Wildcats are 10-22 (3-11 in the SIAC). In game #1, the Golden Rams lost (6-5).  The Golden Rams led 5-2 going into the bottom of the 7th inning.  But, the Wildcats exploded for 4 runs in the inning to upset the Golden Rams.  Alera Buie scored when Hailey Bracey singled in the bottom of the 7th inning to win the game for the Wildcats.  Glory Seay hit a…

Albany State hires Jeremy Atwell as Defensive Coordinator and Backers Coach

Prior to arriving in Albany, Atwell spent the past two seasons as the defensive coordinator at New Mexico Highlands University. From Albany State Athletics Charlie Skalaski (Skuh-LA-Skee) IV enters his first season at Albany State after being hired to serve as the Passing Game Coordinator, Quarterbacks Coach and Recruiting Coordinator. Skalaski joins the Golden Rams with fourteen seasons of coaching experience, including four at the high school level, and ten years at the college level. Albany State sweeps Tuskegee

Albany State spanks Tuskegee in first two games of series

Albany State baseball got off to a smashing good start in their three-game series with the Golden Tigers of Tuskegee University, handing out a pair of beatdowns to the tune of 10-3 and 20-8, respectively.
