title image via Fannae Webb The Norfolk State women’s basketball team earned NCAA.com Team of the Week honors following its upset victory 63-57 at Auburn on Sunday, Dec. 29. Graduate guard Diamond Johnson led the Spartans with 17 points against the Tigers, adding 11 rebounds, four steals, and three assists to her totals. Sophomore guard Da’Brya Clark also scored in double figures for NSU with 15 points. Johnson recorded her fifth career double-double against Auburn. North Carolina A&T names Shaun Gibbs new football coach

Only this time, he returns as the 23rd head football coach in North Carolina A&T State University football program history. A&T Director of Athletics Earl M. Tennessee State senior Kaleb Mosley was named to the 2022 FCS Punter of the Year Preseason Watch List, honoring the nation’s top FCS punter, put forth by The Augusta Sports Council. Mosley, a senior punter out of Carver HS in Montgomery , Alabama , paced the OVC last season, averaging 41.7 yards per punt.
