Check out what Serena is wearing on the clay at Roland-Garros. These special editions of her signature NikeCourt Flares feature a navy upper, with a photo blue ankle cuff. The same hue also makes appearances on the laces and On the heel tab. The swoosh is covered in a red blue and pink floral pattern inspired by Serena’s love of roses.  This shoe is currently available on nike’s website but the floral versions of the NikeCourt Air Max 1 Uktra and NikeCourt Roshe LD-1000 have already sold on on nike.com.

Howard and Under Armour reach outfitting deal 

Howard University and Under Armour have agreed a deal that makes the Baltimore based brand the designer and game day uniform provider for all of the school’s 19 men’s and women’s varsity athletic teams as well supply teams with apparel and accessories. Terms of the multi-year deal, which goes into effect July 1, were not disclosed.  This deal marks UA’s first pact with a Historically Black College and University (HBCU).

Last night I watched the Clippers beat the trailblazers, I knew the inevitable parade to the free-throw line with DeAndre Jordan as the grand marshal would soon ensue. Once again we were treated to Jordan’s consistent bricks from the charity stripe. Nike Announces “Black Mamba” Pack honoring Kobe Bryant

As we unfortunately close in on the end of the career of one Kobe Bryant, Nike is releasing a special pack commemorating and honoring the legend. The pack consists of 13 shoes ( 11 from his signature line and two that are closely associated with Kobe, the Zoom Huarache 2k4 and the Hyperdunk). The shoes in the collection start white and fade to black, a metaphor for Kobe’s career, which comes to a close on April 13. Mateen Cleaves alleged in sexual assault 

Former Michigan State star basketball player Mateen Cleaves has been charged of sexual assault of a 24 year Mount Morris, Michigan woman. Cleaves has been been charged with unlawful imprisonment, assault with intent tocommit criminal sexual penetration, second-degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct. The charges stem from a September 2015 incident following a charity golf tournament and could carry a 15 year prison term. Maria Sharapova admits to using banned substance 

Tennis star Maria Sharapova announced today that she tested positive for the banned substance meldonium, which was initially developed in Latvia for heart patients to aid oxygen flow. Speaking earlier today at a Los Angeles press conference, Sharapova stated she been taking meldonium since 2006 and that she did not realize it was on the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) banned substances list.
