Deion Sanders had his introductory press conference today and he announced that his son Shadeur would play for the Buffaloes. The younger Sanders accompanied his father to Boulder shortly after Jackson State’s 43-24 victory to claim their second consecutive SWAC Championship. Coach Prime said in his introductory meeting with the Colorado football team and to Jackson State that he will coach in the Celebration Bowl against North Carolina Central, which they advanced to with their win in the SWAC title game. SIAC Announces Football Scheduling format changes

Tennessee State running back Mike Mitchell declared for the NFL draft. The Broheadsville, PA native announced his decision Wednesday afternoon. After playing at Brooklyn’s ASA College in 2018, Mitchell walked on the football team In 2019. Bethune-Cookman tight end Kemari Averett is seeking to ply his trade at the next level. The Atlanta, GA native made the announcement Wednesday afternoon in a social media post in which he expressed his gratitude to the university, teammates and coaches. Prior to coming to Bethune-Cookman, Averett spent two seasons at the University of Louisville, where he caught 15 passes for 144 yards and three touchdowns.
