Albany State Basketball splits homecoming matchup with Fort Valley State

Courtesy of Dr. Earnest Brown, Albany State Athletics The Albany State Golden Rams men and women’s basketball teams split with the Fort Valley State University Wildcats in front of over 5,000 fans at The Jones Brother Health, Physical Education and Recreation Complex for the Basketball Homecoming Games on the ASU East Campus.  In game 1, the women defeated the Wildcats (48-44).  With the win, the Golden Rams improved to (7-16) overall and more importantly, (5-12) in the SIAC.  The Wildcats fell to (5-15) overall and (5-12) in the conference. The Golden Rams…

Albany State Baseball gets first win of season

Albany State suffers beatdown from Allen on the road

The Albany State University women’s hoops team was handed a 72-53 loss at the hands of Allen University. After Albany State scored the first basket of the game via a Tachanda Castling layup, the Yellow Jackets wasted no time , taking the lead 0:21 seconds later on a three pointer from Catrina Nolen. Albany State adds 22 in Coach Gray’s inaugural recruiting class
