Albany State’s Stephan Pierre and James Hawkins to play in HBCU Legacy Bowl

Albany State linebacker Stephan Pierre and defensive back James Hawkins were selected to play in the 2023 HBCU Legacy Bowl. After winning the SIAC MVP and Defensive Player of the Year last season, Pierre followed that up with SIAC All-Conference First Team season. The Tallahassee, Florida product recorded 84 total tackles ( 58 solo), 9 tackles for loss, 5 sacks, 1 forced fumble and a 1 fumble recovery.
