For women, Dashanti Miller (Central State) was named Player of the Week, while Sumaiyah Abdur-Rahim (Tuskegee) earned Newcomer of the Week. For men, K.J. Doucet (Fort Valley State) was named Player of the Week, alongside, Myson Lowe (Fort Valley State) who earned Newcomer of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday. Albany State Tennis starts off season in winning fashion

The Albany State University baseball team is set to take on Valdosta State on Wednesday, February 15 at the VSU Spoprts Complex; first pitch is scheduled for 5:00 pm EST. The Albany State University women’s hoops team was handed a 72-53 loss at the hands of Allen University. After Albany State scored the first basket of the game via a Tachanda Castling layup, the Yellow Jackets wasted no time , taking the lead 0:21 seconds later on a three pointer from Catrina Nolen.
