Wednesday afternoon the SIAC announced their week 1 Volleyball Players of the Week. Here are the honourees: From the SIAC Week 1: Men’s Volleyball Players of the Week ATLANTA, Ga. High expectations are on the horizon for the Spring Hill Badgers leading all teams with seven preseason selections. The 2022 preseason team is highlighted by four returning players from Spring Hill (Morgan Kramer), Kentucky State (Moana Pinner), Albany State (Glory Seay), and Clark Atlanta (Tatianna Kelly) that were selected from the 2019 Softball All-Conference Teams. Albany State falls late to Columbus State 78-75

The Albany State University Men’s basketball team ( 7-14, 5-7) suffered a tough loss to the Cougars of Columbus State University ( 14-6, 5-5) Monday evening. The Golden Rams were up 36-34 at the end of the first half and would continue to hold the advantage in the second half, pushing the lead to 17 points at 55-38 when Maxwell Harris sank a pair of free throws with 13:46 to go in the contest.
