Goree joined Kentucky State in 2018 where the Thorobreds concluded their season at 23-22 overall and 14-3 in the SIAC. The team participated in the 2018 SIAC postseason tournament as the second seed in the Western Division. In the 2019 season, Coach Goree the Thorobred volleyball program to a 25-14 season and 16-2 in the SIAC conference.
