Paul George, 76ers agree on 4-year, $212 million deal

For some reason, the New Orleans Pelicans seem dead set on trading Brandon Ingram. Ingram is entering the final year of his current contract, which will pay him $36,016,200. He is eligible for a 4-year extension that could pay him up to $52 million per season and the two sides have been at an impasse as it relates to hashing out a new deal for the forward. Warriors waive Chris Paul, avoids big guarantee

The Warriors have waived point guard Paul and Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.  Paul was acquired last offseason as part of the Jordan Poole trade. In a role that he nor basketball fans are accustomed to, the veteran guard came off the bench for the majority of the season and was unable to be the impactful player we have known him to be in this reduced capacity.
