The SIAC defending champion Albany State Golden Rams (5-1, 3-0) are one of just three HBCU’s , along with Virginia Union and Benedict, to be ranked in both the d2football.com and AFCA D2 polls. The Golden Rams, who are coming off a 55-7 thrashing of Edward Waters this past Saturday, moved up in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) from 22t to no. 21, right behind Texas A&M-Kingville (6-0), who also moved up to 20 from 22t. The Albany State Golden Rams continued their winning ways with a dominating 20-3 win over the Golden Bears of Miles College Saturday at the Albany state University Coleseum. The Albany State women’s volleyball took part in the 2022 Warhawk Invitational, which was held September 9-10 in Montgomery, Alabama. In their opening match ASU faced off against the Univers of West Alabama, losing in three sets,( 25-21, 25-17, 26-24) .
