Albany State women’s hoops squeaks by Johnson C. Smith 74-71 for first win of the season

Smith Golden Bulls (74-71) in the 2022 SIAC/ CIAA Basketball Challenge Saturday, on November 12, in North Carolina.  The Golden Rams rallied for the win after being down by 15 points at the 6:13 mark in the 3rd quarter.  With the win, the Golden Rams improved to (1-1) on the season while the Golden Bulls fell to (0-2).    Kashay Hankerson led the Golden Rams…

Albany State advances to SIAC Semis

The Albany State women’s basketball team defeated tthe Dragons of Lane College 68-57 to advance to the semi-finals of the SIAC women’s basketball tournament From Albany State Athletics. It was an up-and-down day for Albany State basketball against Allen University as the Golden Rams split their matchup with the Yellow Jackets. The men’s team were victorious 74-64, while the ASU women came up short in overtime 66-59. Jordan Simpson lead the way for men, putting in 20 points and grabbing 11 boards. The Albany State University Men’s basketball team ( 7-14, 5-7) suffered a tough loss to the Cougars of Columbus State University ( 14-6, 5-5) Monday evening.
