Tennessee State’s Knute Wood enters the portal

Tennessee State guard Knute Wood is entering the transfer portal.  Wood made his announcement via a post to his X account that read in part, “Thank you, Coach Collins, the staff, and my teammates for allowing me to grow into the player I am today. After much thought and prayer, I have decided to enter the transfer portal with two years of eligibility remaining. “ Wood averaged 5.7 points, including a team-leading .416 from downtown, and 1.7 rebounds in 22.0 minutes per contest. An initial look at the “University Blue” Nike Kobe VIII Protro

This upcoming Kobe VIII Protro features a university blue engineered mesh upper with large, robustly embroidered Swooshes on the lateral side. With smaller such branding present on the medial side. A Kobe logo is perched atop the tongue, while a much larger iteration of the logo appears on the rear heel.  Underneath the aforementioned upper resides a university blue midsole and white rubber outsole.  The “University Blue” Nike Kobe VIII is planned to debut later this year. Norfolk State erases 11-point deficit to win fourth MEAC Tournament

In the Lakers’ recent game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, a 111-102 Lakers win, LeBron James laced up the “Christ the King” LeBron XXII PEs. Following in the vein of the “L.A. Dodgers” Kobe VI Protro, Nike is preparing to release similarly themed Kobe slides.  They sport an all-Dodger blue look with a snake-scaled overstrap that features a silver Kobe logo. With this upcoming Air Jordan I High OG, the “UNC” colorway gets the reimagined treatment.  They sport a white leather foundational layer overlaid with university blue at the toe, eye rows, flanking the ankles, and wrapping the heel.
