The SWAC-MEAC challenge marks the beginning of HBCU football season, and with huctuating levels of cooperation from mother nature, Alabama State and Howard took part in the 2022 iteration of the interconference matchup. Tennessee State OL Lacey named to 2023 Senior Bowl watchlist

Tennessee state senior offensive lineman Robert Lacey was named to Reese’s Senior Bowl preseason watch list. The Blount High School (AL) played at left guard for all his appearances last season for the Tigers and helped the run game average 114.7 yards per game and average 75% in the red-zone. The Senior Bowl has been around since 1950 and has produced 55 NFL Hall of Fame players.
