For women, Mahogany Randall (Benedict) was named Player of the Week, while Shakera Duncan (Benedict) earned Newcomer of the Week. For men, Beril Kabamba (Spring Hill) was named Player of the Week, while Gob Gabriel (Benedict) earned Newcomer of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday. Tennessee State’s Gia Adams earns OVC Player of the Week Honours

The Ohio Valley Conference announced that Tennessee State sophomore guard Gia Adams was named its Player of the Week. In two games last week, against Fisk and Kansas City, the Jersey Village product averaged 23.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals in helping the Lady Tigers to a 1-1 record.
