Albany State hires Jeremy Atwell as Defensive Coordinator and Backers Coach

Prior to arriving in Albany, Atwell spent the past two seasons as the defensive coordinator at New Mexico Highlands University. Albany State comes up short in SIAC Semis

The Albany State tennis team will not be playing for a shot at the conference title, as they were defeated in their semi-final match with the Tigers of Savannah State, 5-2. In singles competition, Bianca Leao and Sumana Panauganti claimed victory in their matches, while in doubles play, Leao and Panaugouti won their match, (6-3). Up next for the now 17-6 Golden Rams is the consolation game against Clark-Atlanta. That and the title match between no.1 Benedict and no.3 Savannah State are both scheduled for 10 AM EST.

Golden Rams add Charlie Skalaski IV to coaching staff

From Albany State Athletics Charlie Skalaski (Skuh-LA-Skee) IV enters his first season at Albany State after being hired to serve as the Passing Game Coordinator, Quarterbacks Coach and Recruiting Coordinator. Skalaski joins the Golden Rams with fourteen seasons of coaching experience, including four at the high school level, and ten years at the college level. In those seasons, Skalaski has been a part of one State Championship, five conference championships, two trips to the Division I FCS playoffs and one NCFA National Championship. In their series with Allen University, the Albany State offense has been quite lively, generating 23 runs through the first two games. Albany State softball gets dominating wins over Allen University

Albany State softball extended their win streak to 13 after a dominating sweep of Allen University, winning the games by a combined 23-0 ( 12-0 in Game 1 and 11-0 in Game 2).
